In Kurukshetra, there was a fierce battle between Kauravas and Pandavas for 18 days. On one hand there were Pandavas who fought for religion, and on the other hand Kauravas were experts in deceit and cheating. He devised a strategy to win the war by deceit. His plan was that he would take Arjuna away from the four brothers by engaging them in a war and then win the war by taking Yudhishthira captive.
Now on the day of battle, a contingent of the Kaurava army took Arjuna away from the battlefield while fighting. At the same time, Guru Dronacharya created the Chakravyuh to capture Yudhishthira, while among the Pandavas only Arjuna knew how to break the Chakravyuh.
As soon as Arjuna went away, Guru Dronacharya challenged the Pandavas and said that either fight the war or accept defeat. According to the law of war, it was necessary to fight the war. If we had not fought, we would have been defeated and even if we had fought, defeat was certain. Now Dharmaraj Yudhishthir was not able to understand what to do and what not to do.
At the same time a young man stood in front of Dharmaraj Yudhishthira and said, “Kakashri, bless me to break the Chakravyuh and fight.” This young man was none other than Abhimanyu, the son of Arjuna. Abhimanyu was just 16 years old, but everyone knew that he was as skilled in fighting skills as his father. Yudhishthira forbade Abhimanyu, but Abhimanyu did not agree and said, “I know how to break the Chakravyuh. When I was in my mother’s womb, my father told my mother how to break the chakravyuh. That’s when I learned it. I will be in front and you all follow me.
Accepting defeat, Yudhishthira agreed to Abhimanyu and everyone got ready for war. Abhimanyu was at the front and everyone else followed him. Seeing Abhimanyu in the battlefield, the Kauravas started mocking what kind of war this little boy would do, but when they saw Abhimanyu’s fighting skills, they started sweating. Moving forward, Abhimanyu killed Duryodhana’s son Lakshmana and entered the Chakravyuh. As soon as he entered the Chakravyuh, King Jayadrath of Indus closed the door of the Chakravyuh, so that the four brothers could not enter the Chakravyuh.
Abhimanyu kept moving forward. He defeated all the warriors one by one, including Duryodhana himself, Karna and Guru Drona. No one was able to understand any solution, that’s why all the warriors of Kauravas together attacked Abhimanyu.
Some broke his bow, and some the chariot. Despite this, Abhimanyu did not stop. He started fighting by lifting the wheel of the chariot. Brave Abhimanyu fought alone with great warriors, but for how long would he fight alone. In the end, everyone together killed him and Abhimanyu got the heroic speed. After the death of Abhimanyu, Arjuna took a vow that he would kill Jayadratha in battle the next day. Today the name of brave Abhimanyu is taken with respect even before Karna and Arjuna.
